“Dwight Schrute: Bears, Beets, & Battlestar Galactica”

So for awhile now, I’ve been dying to paint fur. I didn’t have it in me to just paint an animal or do something fashion-like. The next logical step? One of comedy’s best: Rainn Wilson aka The Office’s Dwight Schrute wearing a bear (with just the tiniest hint of beets and battlestar).

I experimented with softer, hazier brushwork with this one. Obviously that was very helpful with the fur but it gave the skin a surprising texture which I kinda dig.

CALLING ALL ANIMATORS!

RE: Blue Dildo Animation

We need 2 animated sequences for our short film called ‘The Blue Dildo’ that’s going to screen at our show in Sundance 2012. 

There are 2 props in the film, an envelope and a brown paper bag, that have cute little illustrations on them (bunnies & flowers & cats etc.)  These are the 2 illustrations that I want to come to life by being animated.

Here’s what to do:  

ANIMATION ONE - THE ENVELOPE 

• The envelope is illustrated with romantic cats and cute flowers, hearts and other lovey dovey stuff.  ANIMATE this illustration to a 10 second sequence that is really CUTE and HAPPY.  The animation needs to maintain and expand upon the sweet, lovey dovey feeling that is the illustration.  The cats can kiss and the flowers can hug, whatever you think works. 

ANIMATION 2 - THE BROWN PAPER BAG

• The brown paper bag is illustrated with similarly happy, sweet, cute bunnies. ANIMATE the bunnies in a 10 second sequence that starts off the same way as the envelope, where the bunnies are happy skipping along.  But then the bunnies need to get SCARY. REAL QUICK AND STARTLING make the bunnies get ferocious and bear fangs or whatever you think is frightening. MAKE IT AS SCARY AS YOU CAN.

At least for me it does. Sort of. Not while I watch TV. That’s just too distracting.

But, if you REALLY want to clean and you don’t have a mental disorder that will prohibit that, I find watching Hoarders really helps.

I watched Hoarders way before it became super popular so yes. Plus I watch it because I like psychology and behavior techniques. It’s interesting from each person to see their living conditions and their temperaments, as well as what caused it and how they go about solving the problem.

I will tell my mother that we don’t want to be like that, let’s clean out the garage! It’s not bad at all, really, but there’s still a lot of stuff *not nearly as much as a hoarder would have. Still. I’d like to put my car back in where it belongs. 

Without me doing cleaning spurts myself, the place would never get cleared.
